How Pass Percentage is Calculated
The overall pass percentage is candidates declared passed ÷ candidates who appeared × 100. MSBSHSE publishes separate tables for fresh regular, repeater and private candidates, which is why two different websites can quote different numbers and both be correct — they may be referring to different cohorts. The widely quoted headline figure normally refers to fresh regular candidates.
Why Girls Consistently Outperform Boys
Maharashtra HSC data has shown girls out-performing boys in almost every recent examination cycle.
