Reporting Copyright Infringement

What Happens Next
On receipt of a valid notice, we will review it promptly and, if warranted, remove or disable access to the material. We may contact you for clarification. In some cases we will notify the person who posted the material and give them an opportunity to respond.
Counter-Notification
If material you posted was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or the material was misidentified, you may send a counter-notification containing:
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number and consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We will forward a valid counter-notification to the original complainant and may restore the material after the applicable waiting period unless we receive notice of legal proceedings.
Bad-Faith Notices
Submitting a knowingly false DMCA notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability. Please make sure your claim is accurate before sending it.
Repeat Infringers
We may terminate access for users who repeatedly infringe copyright.
Fair Use and Attribution
Where we quote from other publications or reference official notices, we attribute the source and quote only the amount necessary for the reader’s understanding. If you believe we have exceeded fair use in a specific article, please tell us — a small edit is usually the simplest fix.
