This Correction Policy explains how to report a factual error on HSC Result official and how we document and publish the fix. Corrections are welcome — a reader who sends us a primary source has helped hundreds of future readers get accurate information.
How to Report an Error
Please send us a message through the Contact page with the following details:
- The exact URL of the article.
- The sentence or paragraph you believe is incorrect.
- A link to a primary source that supports the correct information (MSBSHSE notice, government release, verified news source).
- Your name and email so we can respond and, if appropriate, credit the correction.
What Counts as a Correction
- A factual error — an incorrect date, statistic, name, URL, procedure or eligibility rule.
- An outdated statement that is no longer true (for example, a portal URL that has been retired).
- A misleading claim, even if technically defensible.
- A missing important context that changes the meaning of a paragraph.
Differences of opinion, matters of style, or requests to remove correctly reported facts are handled separately.
Review and Timeline
Corrections are reviewed as soon as possible, usually within a few working days. During HSC result windows and other high-traffic periods, we prioritise corrections that affect decisions (dates, portals, eligibility) over background context.
How a Correction Appears
When we correct an article, the fix is applied inline, the modified date is updated, and a short note is added to the article — for example: “Corrected on [date]: earlier version listed the result date as [old]. The correct date is [new] per MSBSHSE notice.” Serious errors are additionally noted at the top of the page.
Retraction
If an article is fundamentally unreliable, we retract it and replace the page with a note explaining what was wrong and pointing readers to the current, accurate information. Retracted URLs are preserved so links elsewhere on the internet do not lead to a soft error.
